SNS has various pieces of kit that photographers can use for jobs they feel would require specialist lenses, lights etc.
Our kit is very important to each of us, but I’ve never been someone that places too much importance in having the latest kit, lenses or memory cards. However, technology moves so quickly and when it comes to keeping up to date with the latest cameras I do feel this is vital. The latest cameras enable us to transmit our pictures as quick as possible, and in the age of platform neutral social media- speed is everything!
Below is a list of my kit that goes with me to most jobs. This includes press conferences, PR work, live sporting events and corporate activity:

In addition to this kit, a lense I occasionally use for rugby is the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 600mm f/4E fl ED VR. I’d use this with my 70-200. When shooting rugby I also have a 10.5mm fisheye that works very well for tight spaces and has proven useful in both the tunnel and the changing room.
When I have more time in certain situations such as PR or larger press jobs, I’ll take along the bag of our more powerful Godox lights. This comes with two lights and more reliable batteries should the job require it. We have a few bags like this.
On corporate and studio jobs we will take a studio kit with us which includes kit like a backdrop, studio lights and reflectors.
Two more lenses which sometimes work depending on our requirements are Nikon 300mm f/2.8 VR II and a very tidy Nikon 50mm AF-S NIKKOR f/1.8 which is great for portraits.
I hope this has shed some light on different types of kit for all of my fellow tech-geeks. Your best work depends on being prepared, reading your brief and making sure you have everything that may be required. Everyone has their own preference when it comes to camera equipment but the main thing is to suit the job at hand. When you’re out in the field you’ll always appreciate having the right kit at your side.
