Thomas Rae, 56, owns tailoring shops across Glasgow but is now using his skills to provide much-needed support for frontline workers.

Working out of Easterhouse’s The Lochs Shopping Centre, Thomas and his volunteers have managed to raise over £2000 to help with the creation of uniforms.

The organization has been giving scrubs to nursing homes free of charge and has now been approached by the NHS.

Funding comes from online fundraising pages and from the general public handing in donations.

One of the volunteers, Mags, also works for the NHS at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

She said: “If the NHS runs out of these scrubs the doctor’s consultants won’t be able to do their job.”

Thomas has worked as a tailor for over 30 years and is appealing for more support.
